FHE {family.home (garden).evening.}

Our congregation (ward) has a garden. People help out when they can and anyone can come benefit from it. So tonight we went benefited from it.
Lily toes, although very tasty and delicious, not what we were harvesting.

Lily enjoyed green cherry tomatoes most.
We came home with a full gallon bag of crazy looking carrots.
mmmmm....tomatoes.
She shoots,
she scores. The rest of the night she thought it was hilarious to feed me tomatoes. I didn't mind. These babies are divine. We have another gallon bag full and I do not expect them to last long.

garden grocery list:
-beets. check
-tomatoes (cherry, grape, yellow, and huge).check
-cucumbers.check
-carrots. check
-squash. check

I love all the different colors.

We also got to know an angel tonight. He is in our bishopric. The garden is part of his yard and he sent us home with all these blueberries, 4 bags of candy, tons of pears and inspiration to be a better person. Don't be surprised if you hear about him later on my blog.

That's so awesome that your ward has a garden!

Tell me what you're going to do with those bumpy yellow squash-thingys...I have a large one from dad's garden sitting on my counter jonesin' to be used!

I just got done canning 20 pounds of peaches and drying 20 pounds of nectarines. I have another 100 pounds of peaches (yes...100...) and 20 of nectarines if you want some. The peaches are gorgeous white albertas...so yummy!!! I should take pictures of my craftiness but my back is killing me and my feet hurt, so I won't.

EZ Orchards...do they still have shortcake on? Mom and Yaya and the girls and I went for dinner one night. Strawberry shortcake is a great dinner, right? dairy, fruit, grain.... It was divine. We totally should go. I'm thinking Wednesday. How's that sound for you? I think I'll take that day off work this week.
