{Lily at 6 months, picture taken by Jessica Kettle}
Lily and I have our morning prayer together before her first nap.
I wrap her in her blankie, give her her kitty and sway (if you have a uterus, you know you do this when holding a baby) in front of her crib and I say the prayer.
Usually she is hitting me, trying to pick freckles off, or trying to escape and 'amen' soon follows.
This morning was different.
I held her and she stared at me, and kept whispering 'dah-dah' (her word for everything).
It was hard not to think that not that long ago (little over a year actually) she was with her Heavenly "dah-dah" if you will.
Tears streamed down my face, my prayer this morning was all gratitude for this Lily I get to keep.
Am I doing all that I can to make our home more heaven-like for Lily?
I hope so.

Noah is starting to understand prayers--at least the folding-your-arms part. It is so sweet he clasps his hands together, puts them under his neck, and leans his neck to the side. Mark and I find ourselves "peeking" during prayers now to see our sweet little baby. I share your feelings of awe--it's amazing the trust Heavenly Father has in us to take care of his sweet little children. Oh and I LOVE this picture of Lily!
