so above that

Were you in Salem today? We were. And it was gloomy.
But at Silver Falls was above all that, really. So that's where we went, above the clouds!
{You can see where our casa would be if it was a clear day}
I forgot what the sun looked like, I forgot how wonderful it feels on your face and makes you feel so good from the inside out. We came home rejuvenated and happier.
{Silvie, thanks SO much for letting us use the back pack, its awesome}

We hiked around in the sun and then headed to the falls....and because of the huge storm a few weeks ago, there was a lot of tree carnage blocking the trail and it was closed:(
Lily LOVED the back pack, she laughed so much and amazingly, didn't pull all my hair out.

We were able to go to the top of the falls though, it was so misty and foggy you couldn't see the bottom.

I love living in the North West. There is just so much beauty every where. Seeing sun, the falls, the clouds, and the forest today reminded me how much God loves us, he made our Earth so beautiful!

Jealous! I miss that glowing yellow ball that I used to remember hanging out in the sky...who knew all I had to do was head to the Falls!?

We definitely have to do some family dates up there this spring/summer!

Oh, and it's not a bells and whistles one...but we've got a backpack in the garage if you want it-might be Kelty...maybe not. Can't remember. But it's a framed one. Just real basic...I still need to look at my work calendar for next week, huh?

That is gorgeous! We've been trying to find some cool places to hike here in Utah, but they just can't compare to the Northwest!
