fixate

I was on the phone with my grandma a few days ago and told her how I have a lot of ideas I want to do for the house and how its hard for me. Not hard in a bad way or anything, its just that I am the type of person that when I start a project...I don't stop til its done.
I have a approximately one zillion things to do on my list. And its killing me how long it takes to just paint a dang room!

She just started cracking up. My grandpa is the exact same way, and I guess my mom was too. She told me a story about when my grandma bought some nice fabric for herself for a future project, and it was folded sitting on a shelf for about a month...one day my mom walks in the room with a dress she sewed for herself in the fabric: "I dont care what you say, it was just sitting there and you were taking too long to use it."

So there ya go. It's not my fault.

Anyone else out there? Where you just fixate on something til its done?

I have two light fixtures to make, a table to paint, some pictures to print, some frames to re-do, a coffee table to make, head bords to cut,  oh and paint all the rooms of the house (be gone boring ol' beige!)

I love the things I learn from conversations with my Grandma. What a great story.
I am like that too.... so much to do and so little time:)

i adore that story.

the worst part about this trait (which i definitely have) is that if the window of "now" closes, i just can't get motivated to do a single thing. i dunno if it's like that for you, too.
