date night: Timbers soccer game

We left Lily with our trusted Kacie (we paid her in pineapple up-side-down cake and puppy chow) and trekked to Portland to watch the Timbers.
{ The semi-pro soccer team in Portland, that will becoming pro in 2011.}
Our view. Cheapest tickets, not bad seats.
It smelled like lots of beer, processed meat, fake cheese, and soccer spirit, loved it all!

We scored in the first half. Hoorah!

People claim women to be the drama queens, those people have obviously never watched men play soccer.
Men flop, complain, pout at bad calls, and fake hurt until the game is completely stopped for several minutes for the trainer to run out there all to have them pop up and run away. Honestly guys, it just got old.
Don't believe me? Watch guys play, then watch girls play. I'm no liar.

The Rochester Rhinos (that honestly is their mascot, and we are honestly the timbers) tied it up in the second half with a great shot. So up until 89 minutes (games are 90) it was tied 1-1. Then there was a hand ball in the goal box=penalty kick. Long story short: more drama, we won!
(must be in Portland, half the fans came via bikes)
.
It was a real fun date, fun to watch Chad get in to it. (It was his first big soccer game experience.) I love spending alone time with Chad. I think I might have a crush on him.
PS- Thanks again Kacie, you are beyond awesome.

that is hilarious about men vs women playing soccer. i completely agree. a woman's game is a much more beautiful graceful experience. makes me laugh that you share the same view!

sounds like a blast and yum for puppy chow!
