our day, and a name reveal.

Saturday, warm, sunny= great day for the beach.
It did take us about 10x longer to get there because of these folks.
Chad and I totally plan on doing THIS RACE next year, such a beautiful course and the finish line cant be beat!

We arrived and it took Lily a solid 5 minutes to adjust to the idea of sand. She had us hold her hand for a while...then she saw a dog and was totally over it.

View from the top.
Still can see the feet, but not for much longer, I am growing, growing quickly.

We remembered to bring our kite!
Lily loved it at first,
then of course got mad that SHE was not the one holding it.
{this is a picture of her crying and chasing Chad}

He gave in. She loved it, then would get side tracked by some beach wood or a rock and let it fly away. And repeat.

We went to some beach north of Pacific City. It was basically empty, we were able to let Lily roam a little and us sit down....a little.

I decided to join her, in what ever she was doing.

Turns out, tossing sand into a hole is a LOT of fun. In the picture you can see I would hold the sand, she would grab it, then toss it into the hole. We were probably there for 20 minutes doing this over, and over. I could tell she was really thinking hard when we did this cause she was breathing real heavy. {She does that when she is really concentrating}
What our spot looked like.
Here's Chad doing a bit of light reading....I thought school was out but he is reading a corporate finance text book. Huge nerd.
Yay for sandy kisses!
The waves would go back for a while and give Lily time to find new rocks to try to eat, then all a sudden it would come back! She would run as fast as her little rolly legs would go.
Can you tell she is yelling at the water? She is.
Cant get enough of this girl.
And you cant beat a beautiful day at the beach with the ones you love. Just cant.

And Baby Avocado is not longer that, she is:
Eden because it feels right, we think it fits her. And Laura after my mom.

Love the name! Your beach looks WAY colder than mine. I haven't even been to ours yet... we're officially wimps though.

So, I just can't help but be pissed at you and Jessica right now. I go to read your blogs today and what do I read on both of them??? About your trips to the beach... no one cares that you guys get to go to the beach, while us folks here in Utah have to live with 'just a pool'... you think you're better than me now?!? ;) ... Can you tell I'm jealous? I REALLY like the babies name... I've been thinking all weekend about what her nickname will be.
