So I was thinking that with rachel missing lily and I so much, I would let her in on what we have been up to since she has been in Utah...
We went to target and got the it-who-must-not-be-named... rach, you know what I am talking about. Then Marco, Meredith, and Maria showed up!
Grandpa Toyk got attacked by Lily and Maria
We went to the Coast, but it was really windy, so it wasn't as much fun as we hoped, but we still ate!!!
We tried to fly a kite, but it was too windy :(
Grampa Toyk took care of the girls
We played on the bikes once we got back, this is a kids front bike seat. Lily loved it, then got bored and wanted down.
Ate dinner, which was chicken nachos, (I guess the trick is to have the temperature low when melting the cheese, that way it melts the cheese all the way through... who would have thought..)
And of course we watched CARS. What would an evening be without CARS!!
then off to bed.
After Chad had a great sleep (not really), nana took lily at 5am and put on cars, of course, the played with toys while Chad slept in til 8:30
Lily and Maria got better acquainted, as Maria wanted every thing lily had, and lily is not accustom to sharing. We decided that we wanted to go to the farmer market and then go for a bike ride. The grandparents, Meredith, and the girls drove down to Riverfront park while Marco and Chad rode down. After getting set up, we rode our bikes over to the farmers market. As lily lead the way, she found a spot that she loved
We walked around as much as we wanted to and got some Gelado!. Sat down next to the bikes and relaxed for a bit. As we got the bikes ready to go, we noticed that Nana's bike had a flat. we tried to pump it up but that didn't work either. So I had a plan.
Nana took Marco's bike, we packed Nana's bike on the back of the trailer, and Marco sat on my bike rack (on a heavily folded blanket for cushion)
And it worked out okay because the bike store was only 5 or so blocks away. After getting that fixed, we started our 3 mile trek to Minto Brown park.
but Maria fell asleep about a mile into the ride, so we made the girls switch places
After a quick bathroom break at the park, it was over to the playground.
Lily can now go up and down the stairs by herself, down the slide herself (a bit of falling and sliding at first, head first at times, but it worked out in the end)
Nana did some Yoga and Grampa Toyk relaxed and Maria watched everything.
Then after we started to get tired, we rode back to the other park, and on to the new Rail road pedestrian bridge (an old rail road bridge over the Willamette River that has been converted into a pedestrian biking bridge)
With that Marco and I (with lily crashed out in the trailer) rode home to call it a good days work.
Marco, Meredith and Maria left at 7:30 tonight and hopefully that will have a good drive home. This is my update from the non-wedding party!
Love and miss you

That is so sweet and cute! I will have Jeff read so he can get some pointers:) Maybe I will have to teach him how to do a blog post first:) I am excited to see pictures from Malory's wedding.
Great day, Chad! I wonder if we were at the Market at the same time-I'm thinking I might have seen your bike trailer there-and then we headed over to the Riverfront park, too!
Loving the european bike. If my girls were smaller I would have totally bought one with the front seat carrier while I was over there!
And Rach-you're totally lucky to have a guy that'll do this and show you what you're missing! I don't think John even has a clue where/what our blog is-which is fine because I SUCK at keeping up with it!
wow! look at all the photos. Nice job Chad! I'd say you're at least surviving without Rachel, but I'm sure you miss her more than your photos show:)
