Whoa, cold turkey?! Have fun and good luck. I was too big of a wimp, so Macey's pacifier use got limited to bedtime and travel use only when she was like 15 months.
I am a totaly woos and didn't want to deal with it when Sam was little. We let her keep it and just tried to limit it to church (to keep her quiet) and bed/nap times until she was 3. Then she just had it at bed, until last night when she had to throw all of them away. She cried last night but only for like 5 minutes, and was very easy to talk her out of it. Ashley will probably be even harder - she is a TOTAL addict. Thankfully, Bryce doesn't like binkies. Way to be on top of things, and good luck!
i took a pin to grant's pacifer and poked the nipple to make a small hole in it. once there is a hole, there is no suction and it's hard for them to keep in their mouth. i gradually made the hole a little bigger and he was off it within a week - he was mad at the pacifer, not me. he kept saying it was "broken." indeed it was!
Good luck! Are you doing just cold turkey, get it outta there? I've loved that Avie doesn't have one anymore. She's become so much more a cuddle bug because of it, and I've missed that!

Maybe it won't be so bad. I was totally anticipating mayhem when we took Sam's away, but he was completely fine. You can do it, Lils!
Good luck! It's was a hard couple of weeks for Havah, but totally worth it!
