our next adventure:

We have taken many adventures, my love and I:
  • Getting hitched
  • screaming through college (both did undergrad in a little less than 3 years)
  • making (adorable) babies
  • going to grad-school

and now....

We are moving.
We are taking these bags, and thats it.
(add in some blankies and a few toys)

At the end of the month,
Charlotte, North Carolina will be our new home.
  • It sounds crazy because it's across the nation.
  • It sounds crazy cause Chad does not, in fact have a job there (yet!).
  • It sounds crazy cause we are selling EVERYTHING ((table-GONE! Lily's bed-GONE!)we're totally craigslist'n it and having a awesome garage sale this weekend, COME!).
  • It sounds crazy because there are SO many unknowns.

But we are excited, and confident, calm.
We KNOW it's where the Lord wants us to go.
So much has happened to lead us to this decision that we have no doubts.

So, soon we will be starting on a grand adventure, basically we are gypsies, not much to our name but each other and our faith.
And of course I will continue to document our life,
and now, us starting from scratch on the east coast.

Yay for adventures!
Yay for sounding crazy (and yay for not caring)!
Yay for Charlotte!

You don't know me, but I read your blog all the time (found you through Sarah Youngberg's blog). I just wanted to let you know that you and your sweet little family will be in my prayers during this time of "unknowns". What a grand adventure trusting in God's leading can be! Blessings to you, your hubby, and your lovely little ladies as you embark on a new chapter of life. :)

congrats! good for you (for not caring)!

i KNEW you would be gypsies. i told vashti you would probably make a living making skirts and doing kitty face paintings.

good luck! we are rooting for you... and now you can be a total southern belle.

YEA!!! I had been waiting to find out what your adventure will be. We have been getting rid of a ton of stuff too (not quite as much as you) and it feels really liberating. It's nice to start fresh! Congratulations and I can't wait to hear about your trip over there. Are you guys moving this week?

Never mind, I just re-read the post and saw it is the end of the month. I was reading too fast the first time!

WOW! I can't believe you were able to size down to just those suitcases!! That is talent! Are you driving/flying? We LOVE the South (I guess North Carolina is kind of the south?? I don't know, I am still bad with what they consider the south or not... anyway you will only be about 3 hours from our house! If you ever want to check out Athens, you can stay with us:) I hope you LOVE it and that Chad finds a job quickly- you are definitely brave- we were nervous to move here and Jeff already had a job... but we prayed about it and it felt so right and we have not regretted it even one small time since we moved here!! Good luck!

Still can't believe that you are beating us out of Salem and it has only been like a week and half since we hung out and your entire life has changed?! Crazy! But we are so excited for you guys, but will totally miss you.
Good luck on the crazy new adventure and we will totally hang out before you leave....we're coming home tonight.

Wow!! You guys will only be about 3 hours from us!! Let us know if you need a place to stay for a bit or just to visit!!! I'm sure big Lily and little Lily would have a ball together (and Eden of course, little Lily loves babies)!

Man, I wish I could come to your garage sale!

You are crazy, but that's what makes life exciting. Besides, I really like crazy people. :)

And, good luck with your new adventure! I've only been to Raleigh and Topsail, North Carolina, but both were pretty awesome.

Funny... As I started to write my comment, I glanced to the left and read "you don't know me" in another comment.. so here's two "you don't know me's"! We have several mutual friends from the 75th ward in Rexburg(Shurtz, Buies, etc). Anyway... We just moved a few weeks ago from Raleigh and I LOVED it there. There are so many amazing people in NC and so many opportunities. I spent many an hour dreaming in the mall in Charlotte, too. It's AWESOME. Good luck in your adventures and enjoy the East coast! So different from the West, but just as wonderful! Oh, and P.S. I love your blog. We have a darling little Eden too :)

well, this certainly got a lot of comments! To say I'm disappointed to see you move so far would be an understatement. Heather hasn't commented yet, so maybe she doesn't know? I know 1/2 the reason she likes to come home is so she could visit you! We wish you luck and good times on your adventure. Is there anything we can do for you before you go?
