from my pillow

The stars aligned and both girls are asleep.

I have a bunch of laundry to fold/put away,

and the floor could definitely be swept and mopped.

But I think I'm going to stay right here,

in my bed listening to acorns fall on my roof

and watch the leaves out my window.

I mean, October only comes around once year, right?

Soon all the leaves will be gone,

and how sad would it be to have missed it all

for some stupid laundry and a clean floor?
