Peace.

I was listening to one of my favorite artists this morning, Regina Spektor
THIS song came on and made me stop what I was doing. So beautiful, but so hard.
I have a lot of different situations running around my head.
I have a lot of people in my life going through a lot:

  • Going through a divorce, while pregnant and now with an infant. A single mom from the start.
  • Disability.
  • A husband in the military. Almost a whole year apart, with kids my girls age.
  • Poor health.
  • Finals.
  • Being a working mom, and all the pulls along with it.
  • Financial struggle, will they loose the house?
  • Loneliness.
  • Addictions, and their repercussions.
  • Infertility.
  • Getting married and not getting much support.
  • Unemployment.
  • Becoming a widow so young, while pregnant, and with a toddler.
  • Lack of sleep.
  • New country, far away, so different from the USA.
The list goes on.
When we go through hard things, we want them to just, go away. Logically.
But a lot of times, that doesn't happen. I do believe in miracles, but I think its important to find the miracle in Christ. Find the miracle there is when we give our hurt, pain, loneliness, tears, confusion to Him. Maybe He won't take away your certain trial, but He will guide, even carry us at times, through it. He is the one that makes it possible to not only get out of bed in the morning, but to find joy in the day.
In time, He replaces all the hurt, pain, loneliness, tears, and confusion confusion with peace.

When I remember this, I start thinking of all the good happening to my friends.
I see this picture, and I get teary-eyed.
This beautiful girl is a dear friend.

She went through a lot of heartache and hard times, but all the while she had hope.
And now she found the real man of he dreams.
I remember calling her a while ago, she told me how she made some baby blankies:
"I know it sounds silly, but they give me hope"
And in a few years, she'll get to pull those out and wrap her own baby in one.
And that makes me really happy.

Prayers are always answered. Good always happens. Peace always comes.

This is such a beautiful post, and so well written. Prayers go out to all your friends struggling- it only seems fair that this month should be a month of no suffering.

this post made me teary eyed. Yes, we all have to go through the refiner's fire, and be sanctified. It's hard, very hard, and some days you wonder why you need to go through this, but I guess all I can say is that it makes you tougher and therefore makes your journey and life more worth it, and you more worthy for the kingdom of Heaven.
Thanks for blogging away! TUTORIALS of that cute skirt!
