Lils

Today we all went on our tour of the pre-school we are praying we get into.
When I called and set up the appointment I was so excited, and then I cried.
It hit me.
Lily, going to school?
I mean, 8-2, a few days a week...I am going to be one huge (figuratively and literally) mess.
It is amazing how one day you wake up and your infant is now 3 1/2 and could be eating lunch in a cafeteria with her little friends in a month. How does that happen?
She brings so much light into our home, she is my perfect little princess-monster.
Don't get me wrong, by 8 PM I am usually excited for her bed time, but I am also so excited for her to wake up the next morning and start another day of adventure together.
There really isn't a specific point of this post other than:
I love Lily more than words can express,
and sending her off to school is going to break my heart, but in a good way, I guess.

Awe! I'm right there with you! I think Kaden will be going to Mom's Morning Out this fall. A couple days a week for only a few mornings a week. He wants to go so bad (most of his friends are there) and asks about going to "school" all the time.

break your heart in a good way...what a sweet way to put it :) I can't believe Lily is old enough for pre-school!! What a little lady :) I hope she gets into the pre-school you guys are praying for!

I bawled when Michelle went to first grade and still watch Aidan walk from the car all the way into the school before I drive off, and it always tugs at my heart strings. It is just not the same once they start school!

I know what you mean about being so relieved it is bed time, but so excited for her to wake up in the morning... kinda funny!
