today

"Do the best you can through these years, but whatever else you do, cherish that role that is so uniquely yours and for which heaven itself sends angels to watch over you and your little ones. Mothers, we acknowledge and esteem your faith in every footstep. Please know that it is worth it then, now, and forever."

-Jeffrey R. Holland

This quote gets me every time.
Today my girls played in the mud.
I made them grilled cheese sandwiches.
We played barbies and ponies until melt downs were had.
I played with Maggie, just crawled around for almost two hours, seeing what she sees, letting her crawl all over me and even suck on my nose, makes her laugh the perfect baby belly laugh.
Then I wrapped her up in a soft blankie and rocked her to sleep next to her crib.

I needed to document how wonderful today has been, for the times when all I want to do is lock myself in the bathroom and eat candy bar, just to escape the mayhem.

{that quote was from THIS TALK}
