back to real life.

You sick of Hawai'i pictures? Sorry if you are. These are the last ones...probably.
<span class=
Like I said, we loved the shaved ice. We got three each on the last day. This one was my favorite combo= coconut, sour pineapple and raspberry. With macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom of course. Trust me.
<span class=
This picture is from our second trip down the paved path. I can't get over those colors. And the warmth that was felt there.
<span class=
I also can not get over this girl. Oh how she loves shoving everything in her mouth. Obviously it makes her happy:)

Today was the first day back to "real life". Chad was gone A L L day. It poured A L L day. I ran errands, cleaned up some of our un-packing disaster, listened to Lily's new Charolette Diamond CD (Go here, I wanna be a dog is a favorite) at least 6 times in a row and ran in circles to it, and read "good night moon" close to a thousand times. It was a good day.

Tomorrow will involve more playing though.

Yay for Monday being (almost) over!

Lydgate

I have actually been to Kauai before, when I was in 5th grade. It was one of my mom's things she wanted to do before she passed away. And I remember going to this park, Lydgate park, a definite favorite for sure!
Photobucket
There is a rocked off cove full of tropical fish and very calm water.Perfect for babies. And grown ups that freak out over fish.
Photobucket
thats me in the center, probably yelling: "Chad! Chad! FISH!!! They're gunna get me!"
There were a minimum of 30 fish circling me, so hilarious/creepy i was laughing so hard.
Photobucket
I really did fall more in love Chad on this trip. Didn't know it was really possible, but it was.
Photobucket
Oh how we love this little one.

When we were there we met THESE folks, like, Mr. Lydgate him self. So friendly, and convinced us that we need to move there.
I'm game. You can come visit when we move there k?

one of the best times of my life:

Happened to be on our last day on Kauai.
We rented these beautiful cruisers and literally rode for 30 miles. In 5 hours.
<span class=
Eden was loaded with spf 75 and proud to say she never once got burned.
And being true to her name (easiest baby in the world) she slept most of the bike ride, right on Chad's back!
<span class=
I loved these baskets.
<span class=
My sun kissed face. Oh how i love the sun (with spf 75 on). This trip solidified my want to live some where sunny.
<span class=
we rode our bikes to the end of a path and then took our little cruisers for a little off roading (pretty hilarious, baskets and all!) and found this place.
Photobucket
<span class=
I am standing on a cliff looking at huge waves crashing. Just breath taking really.
<span class=
On the way back I talked to Eden and she also flirted with the people that we passed.
<span class=
Once we got back in to Kapa'a (the town we were in) we had a total of 3 (each) shaved ice with macadamia nut ice cream. (If you go there go to Ono Ono's)

This bike trip was the one of the best times of my life. It was so beautiful, no cares, with my love +1 and just perfect. Something I will have to look back on and cherish. I really hope to do it again.

our mornings

Every morning we would wake up, and head out to the beach.
The three of us would sit on beach chairs, bundled and still waking up and wait for the sun to rise.
Photobucket
It was magical every time.

Photobucket
The three of us got up and watched the sun rise this morning. So beautiful.

We just got back from church ("aloooha!") and are now soaking in aloe vera and taking naps.

once again, life is good.

ps-I miss Lily. A lot.

just a few minutes ago...

Photobucket
the sun showed up.

hawaiian baby

I love these trees.
<span class=

<span class=
Look at my little Hawaiian baby, that flower, the Plumeria, is the best smelling flower in the world. I remember when I came here my first time and smelled one, I held it up to my nose for like, 5 days. I held this one up to my nose during our long walk yesterday. Oh man, I wish I could bottle this smell.

last night

<span class=
last night, like tonight, is cloudy and a little windy.
But oh, still so amazing.
<span class=
We introduced Eden to the ocean:
<span class=
She tried to play it all cool, but we know she was freaking out inside like we do on the outside every five minutes:
  • "I cant believe we are really here!" or
  • "This is un-real!" or
  • "SO beautiful!"
<span class=
Tomorrow is supposed to another "cold" day (low 70's) but then will warm up.
Life is good.
<span class=
the end.

Hawaii makes us happy

Can't you tell?
<span class=
We did indeed go for an adventure today, look at the point in the distance, that's about where we are staying.
<span class=
We looked slightly...k, really like gypsies with all the loot piled in/on the stroller but it was worth it.
<span class=
We just walked/ran for miles and checked out beaches, got sandy, and tried to soak up as much of this experience as we can.
<span class=
So beautiful.

ps-we made a pineapple up-side-down cake tonight with fresh pineapple....and its all gone. No joke.

plans:

We just finished oatmeal and the best pineapple in the world on the deck while watching the sun rise.
Now we are off for a run and an adventure up a ten mile trail.
Be back tonight!

last night before bed we went for a little jaunt on our beach.
Eden was introduced to sand, and warm ocean.

short post, small pictures, but we are in a hurry to relax:)
