k well maybe not slight...kinda big change of plans.....
say goodbye to San Diego. we are now going to be going to Salem Oregon @ Willamette University.
why you ask??? well, Willamette offered Chad a pretty hefty scholarship, the cost of living is amazingly better and when it comes down to it it just feels right in our wallet and hearts. so i am sorry to all of those who were planning on crashing at our place in sunny San Diego...now you can do it in...sunny Salem? we can all go to the capital building instead of sandy beaches.
{shout out to Ryan Shurtz: what do we do there?}
we are only 5 hours from b-ham (meaning family) so that is awesome, this also means we can go down prior to find a place to live instead of doing it kinda blindly through the internet and friends.
i really am actually excited to be going to Salem, its no SD but it will still be an adventure, its in the NW, and im still gunna be w/ my two favorite people, Chad and the Lilster

Oh my Goodness!!! I am SOOO EXCITED! Salem is really a cool city! And we can still be seeing each other friends!!! You guys should come check it out while we are there next week, we will probably be there for like 3 weeksthough and you can stay at Ryan's parents house, they have tons of room! And we can show you around!
Hey thats awesome! I have been to Salem before and I really liked it. It will definitely be a lot cheaper. Hope your enjoying yourselves in wa. Im sure you are. I wish I was there!
I had a couple of friends who went to Willamette and loved it! I'm sure you guys will too.
That is so good that you will be by family. You can't live right by the beach or you will have no where to go on vacation. Salem sounds cool. Like maybe there are vampires there or something...Yay for Twilight 4! I miss you guys.
My mom works in Salem! When are you moving? I will be there July 25 for a couple days! If you need a place to stay over night while you check out housing in salem, I'm sure you could stay with my parents. It's 30-45 min drive. How Exciting! And don't worry, you're still fairly close to the beach (a cold beach, yet still a beach!);)
When we were driving back home from our recent trip we stopped at a McDonalds in Salem. From what I saw of the area it looked pretty nice! I'm sure you'll love it even more than San Diego if it's the place you're supposed to be.

ohhhhhhhhhhh so sad..... it would have been so fun to have you down here... BUT it makes sense --- it's pretty darn expensive down here. come visit us anyways to see what you'll be missing!
I tried to leave a comment about this yesterday but I guess it didn't work- but anyway I was just saying that Willamette is our 1st choice for Shem so maybe we'll be there too!!
(it says Shem but this is Carly...)
Yeah! You know, you have "family" in the area and are always welcome!!!! We're so excited! When do you move down?
