Today, Maggie learned the art of throwing rocks into the water.
We have finally gotten past (not completely past, but mostly) the just-wanting-to-eat-the-rocks stage and are now actually throwing them. So magical.
It took me at least 30 minutes to gather all our stuff+picnic lunches (comprised of: 1 cookie, 1 marshmallow, 1 PB&J X 3...WINNING!) and then we loaded all up. Then when we got there we put shoes and socks back on, coats on, and then we walked down the path and threw rocks for no more than ten minutes. Just enough time for Eden to pee outside successfully, and then we loaded back up.
That my friends, is parenthood.
Its when you take three times longer to get ready to leave than you do actually being gone. Also, it's someone peeing on your foot and it doesn't even phase you.
But, I am still glad we did it, muddy/pee-y shoes and all.
And now, as per Lily's request, time to dye some of her hair pink (still have some left over from when I dyed mine pink).
